The company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of a comapny based in the UK.

We advise multinational clients in key industry sectors on international trade issues impacting their global supply chain in the areas of cost reduction, risk and compliance and strategic planning, irrespective of where in the world they do business.

Business in the Netherlands is currently being generated by efforts from our UK homebase.

Due to high demand in the Netherlands, we have the potential for much more business here so it has been decided to grow the business here and appoint someone or more people to take on the successful existing business and generate further revenues from this and grow it into other streams as well so as to reap higher and further potential.

We are therefore seeking to hire one or more new and ambitious Customs Consultants to join our fast growing international team.  This team is unique in that Customs Consultancy is its prime focus with a well funded business plan to achieve considerable growth both in the UK and Continental Europe over the next five years.

The successful candidate(s) will join this very successful team with a growth plan offering very exciting career plans as well as the rewards to go with it.


•Be part of a team assisting with the provision of customs compliance services for a broad range of multinational clients in a range of industry sectors
•Prepare responses to client queries by undertaking customs and/or excise technical research
•Manage the successful delivery of projects ensuring both technical excellence and a practical/business driven approach taken
•Manage the implementation of a number of different projects at any one time including meeting deadlines, prioritization, client code/budget management as well as billings
•Grow the team by identifying and building opportunities both internally and externally
•Contribute to winning new work by proactively managing existing clients and identifying potential opportunities to undertake additional/new client work
•Be prepared to travel to other offices and client sites to work on our cross border projects.



•Good history of academic achievement (will most likely be a qualified tax legal specialist)
•10+ years experience in a related role (e.g. in a customs/excise government tax department, indirect tax consulting, customs tax consulting, customs compliance, legal practice, supply chain management, logistics and distribution, freight forwarding etc.)
•Practical knowledge of customs and excise taxes as well as import and export processes and regulations, trade procedures and documentation.
•Demonstrate deep understanding of international trade developments, supply chain operations or operational trade documentation processes and how they affect the movement of goods across borders.

•Strong technical skills
•Ability to identify areas of risk, carry out an effective review and know when to refer upwards if necessary
•Ability to solve problems creatively and pragmatically
•Client focused, driven, dynamic and a commercially aware mindset are very important
•Strong analytical and research skills and ability to use IT effectively (proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Project and PowerPoint) a distinct advantage
•Ability to work on one’s own in a small office environment: a born survivor with entrepreneurial drive
